How is refinishing priced? +
Mostly by square footage, adjusted for the condition of the floor. Damage, deep stains, and leftover staples or tack-strip nails from old carpet all add prep work, which is why the in-person look matters.
Should I refinish or replace my hardwood? +
If the wood is solid, refinishing almost always wins on price and keeps the character of the original floor. Jared will tell you straight if your floor is a candidate — and just as straight if it isn’t.
How long does a refinishing project take? +
It depends on the size of the space, the condition of the wood, and the number of finish coats — most projects run a few days including dry time. You’ll get exact timing for your floors at the free look, including when you can walk on them and when furniture can come back.
What should I do before the work starts? +
Rooms need to be cleared of furniture, and pets kept clear of the work area. Jared will walk you through exactly what to expect for your project when he quotes it — no surprises on day one.
