New hardwood is a big investment, and how it’s installed decides how it looks in year ten, not just year one. Jared installs solid hardwood with the prep work that keeps floors flat and quiet: a properly checked subfloor, acclimated wood, and tight, straight rows.
Installation and refinishing are two halves of the same craft — about half of Jared’s work is new installs, and the finishing skills carry over. A site-finished new floor means the stain and sheen are done in your home, matched to your light and your taste, not picked from a factory sample.
If you’re replacing old flooring, tear-out and prep are part of the job — including pulling the leftover nails and staples that old carpet and flooring leave behind, so the new floor goes down on a clean, sound base.
