This is the heart of what Jared does: taking a floor that looks beyond saving and bringing it back. Old finish, sun fade, pet stains, decades of wear — sanded down to clean bare wood, then stained and sealed in the color and sheen you pick.
Every refinish starts with the sanding sequence — coarse grit to cut through the old finish, then progressively finer passes so the wood is smooth and even before any stain touches it. Rushing this step is how floors end up with swirl marks and blotchy stain. Jared doesn’t rush it.
Once the floor is bare and clean you choose the stain — from natural (no stain, just the wood’s own color) through golden tones to dark espresso — and it’s sealed with multiple coats of polyurethane for a finish that stands up to kids, dogs, and real life.

Jared refinished our floors throughout the main living space, and they turned out great - could not be happier with the result. We have kids and a dog, and we have been rough on them for about 2 months now without any signs of wear. Jared was a great communicator before and during the floor refinishing process, and I would recommend him to anyone. Very respectful contractor.
